It\u2019s made with marinated grilled steak which is served over a salad made with juicy tomatoes and grilled ciabatta and zucchini. And then tossed with fresh spinach leaves and basil in a simple Dijon vinaigrette dressing.<\/p>\n<h2>What is a panzanella salad?<\/h2>\n<p>Essentially, a panzanella salad consists of stale bread (in this case grilled ciabatta), fresh tomatoes, basil and oil and vinegar. However there are other ways to get that \u201cgrilled steak\u201d flavour indoors as well. You may have already seen my post (and video) on how to grill steak using a cast iron grill plate \u2014 a fantastic method by the way \u2014 but this time I thought I would put my ELAG LeMax to the test and try grilling steak on a glass ceramic grill. It also can reach temperatures of 380\u00b0C, which makes for the perfect surface for searing steaks quickly. When you sear meat, it forms a rich brown crust on the surface which amplifies the flavor and texture of the finished dish. Then you finish the steak at a reduced temperature to allow for the inside to cook.<\/p>\n<p>Cook time depends on your preference and the thickness of the steak, but generally after you have seared a light brown crust on each side (1-1,5 minutes), you cook the steak as follows:<\/p>\n<p>4 to 6 minutes for medium-rare (135\u00b0),<br \/>\n6 to 8 minutes for medium (140\u00b0)<br \/>\n9 to 10 minutes for medium-well (150\u00b0)<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget to to let your steaks rest after they come off the grill to let the juices redisburse \u2014 around 5-10 minutes is ideal, as this will
