If you are a fan of smoothies, you like coffee and you like bananas then you\u2019re going to love this recipe for a delicious and energising smoothie bowl!<\/p>\n<p>Have you never heard of coffee in a smoothie before? Or have you tried my <a href=\"https:\/\/ellerepublic.de\/en\/cacao-banana-espresso-smoothie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cacao Banana Espresso Smoothie<\/a>? If not, you are definitely not the first, because smoothies with coffee are actually unconventional and are quite new and trendy. I can tell you this though, the combination of coffee, bananas and dark chocolate is definitely worth trying. I personally love it.<\/p>\n<h2>Yoghurt or Skyr make the smoothie bowl<\/h2>\n<p>And the fantastic thing is that you can easily adapt my smoothie bowl recipe in so many ways. The most important thing is to get the consistency right, so that it can be enjoyed as a smoothie bowl with toppings, rather than a drinkable smoothie. And this is exactly why I like to make it with yoghurt (which by the way is full of good for you probiotics!). My personal favourite is Greek yoghurt, but you could also use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatingwell.com\/article\/7917455\/what-is-skyr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Skyr<\/a>, the \u201cViking Superfood\u201d, which is a good source of protein while being low-fat (0,2 grams versus 10 grams with Greek yoghurt). Both are a great source of probiotics, which are important for gut health.<\/p>\n<h2>How to make a smoothie bowl with coffee and bananas<\/h2>\n<p>Smoothies and smoothie bowls are a great way to enjoy a new coffee experience and put those beans to another use. And the bananas are perfect match with both cacao and coffee. Plus they add to the creamy texture and sweetness. The riper the banana, the sweeter the taste. Although, sweet isn\u2019t my thing, I actually do like <a href=\"https:\/\/goodnessme.com.au\/blogs\/news\/why-you-should-eat-green-banana-starch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">green bananas<\/a> (or yellow with a tinge of green). They are less sweet and also full of starch and resistant starch compared to ripe or overripe banana which mostly contain sugar. And, also have a strong banana taste. So if you thought, you didn\u2019t like bananas, maybe try a less ripe one. And if it\u2019s a complete no-go, try summer berries or stone fruit. They go well with coffee. And if you are choosing berries, strawberries would be the best choice as they are great with both coffee and the chocolate flavors of cacao. So be sure to chop them before freezing so they will blend easily.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prepare the coffee in advance:<\/strong> Brew the espresso and let it cool down to room temperature or place it in the fridge to cool quicker.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blend until creamy:<\/strong> Put the frozen banana slices in a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3Hk4mvy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">high-powered blender<\/a> along with the yoghurt, oats, cacao and coffee. Blend until everything is creamy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Use your favourite toppings:<\/strong> You can now serve the smoothie bowl immediately with your favourite toppings. Try berries, kiwi, fresh mint, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3o9bu6g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">cacao nibs<\/a>, coconut flakes or your other favourites. Thought to keep its thickness, you should add 5 tablespoons of rolled oats, and of course we don\u2019t want to skip on the chocolaty flavor so try adding one tablespoon of cocoa powder. Toppings like coconut flakes or granola would be a great addition. Feel free to experiment to your own personal taste.<\/p>\n<p>Your breakfast is ready! Energizing and packed with good for your ingredients, including espresso, which can also have a number of positive effects on health.<\/p>\n<p>Coffee beans here, or coffee beans there. It\u2019s always interesting to try using everyday ingredients in a different way. Smoothie bowls and smoothies are trendy way to do so, without jumping on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodhousekeeping.com\/health\/diet-nutrition\/a38516008\/coffee-lemon-weight-loss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TikTok coffee and lemon juice weight-loss trend<\/a> \u2014 yes this exists.
