2tablespoonsfreshly brewed espressocooled to room temperature
2frozen bananaspeeled and sliced before freezing
200gGreek yoghurt or Skyr
2tablespoonsfine-cut oats
2tablespoonscacao
maple syrup,to taste (optional)
Optional toppings:
Sliced banana, slivered almonds, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, coconut milk, granola, drizzle of tahini or almond butter
Method
Place all of the smoothie ingredients (espresso, banana, yoghurt, oats, and cacao) into a high-powered blender and mix until creamy. Pause blend if needed to push the ingredients down and scrap the sides.
Pour the banana mixture into a bowl and garnish with your favorite toppings.

Notes
Be sure to choose a brand of espresso that you already like and enjoy, as some can have a bitter aftertaste. Otherwise, you can also offset some of the bitterness with sweetener.
