1kohlrabi,cut into thin strips
4carrots,cut into thin strips
juice of 1 lemon
1bunch fresh cilantro,leaves removed
2tablespoonssesame seeds
1tablespoonsesame oil
4tablespoonsextra virgin olive oil
2tablespoonsgood-quality red wine vinegar
sea salt and freshly ground pepper,to taste
Method
Toast sesame seeds in a small dry skillet over medium heat, tossing often, until fragrant, about 3 minutes. set aside to cool.
Whisk together the sesame oil, olive oil and vinegar in a medium-sized bowl. Add the kohlrabi, carrots and roasted sesame seeds and toss to coat with the dressing.
Add the lemon juice and cilantro and then season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds before serving.
