Ingredients
- 1 kohlrabi, cut into thin strips
- 4 carrots, cut into thin strips
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro, leaves removed
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons good-quality red wine vinegar
- sea salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Toast sesame seeds in a small dry skillet over medium heat, tossing often, until fragrant, about 3 minutes. set aside to cool.
- Whisk together the sesame oil, olive oil and vinegar in a medium-sized bowl. Add the kohlrabi, carrots and roasted sesame seeds and toss to coat with the dressing.
- Add the lemon juice and cilantro and then season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds before serving.
