Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water (125 ml)
- 1 cup oat milk (250 ml)
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder
- 1 cup fine-cut oats (100 g)
- pinch of salt,
- 1-2 teaspoons pure maple syrup, plus more to serve
- Fresh fruit, as topping
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, add the water, milk and matcha, whisk together until combined. Add oats, plus a small pinch of salt and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Then reduce the heat to medium to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and have absorbed most of the liquid, about 5 minutes. Or until the oatmeal has reached your desired consistency.
- Stir in maple syrup, to taste.
- Serve in bowls and garnish with your favourite toppings, plus a little more maple syrup, if desired. Enjoy!

Notes
- I also like to make this using a mix of fine cut oats and 6-grain oats (2:3 ratio).
- The oats can can also be replaced with an equal amount of Bio Zarte Basis Müsli (Bauck).
