Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons freshly brewed espresso cooled to room temperature
- 2 frozen bananas peeled and sliced before freezing
- 200 g Greek yoghurt or Skyr
- 2 tablespoons fine-cut oats
- 2 tablespoons cacao
- maple syrup, to taste (optional)
Optional toppings:
- Sliced banana, slivered almonds, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, coconut milk, granola, drizzle of tahini or almond butter
Instructions
- Place all of the smoothie ingredients (espresso, banana, yoghurt, oats, and cacao) into a high-powered blender and mix until creamy. Pause blend if needed to push the ingredients down and scrap the sides.
- Pour the banana mixture into a bowl and garnish with your favorite toppings.
- Enjoy!

Notes
- Be sure to choose a brand of espresso that you already like and enjoy, as some can have a bitter aftertaste. Otherwise, you can also offset some of the bitterness with sweetener.
