Simple & delicious plant-based dishes
In the vegan kitchen you will find simple recipes made with grains such as barley, spelt, quinoa, amaranth or millet. There are also legumes, which are a great source of plant-based protein. This includes lentils, beans of all kinds (such as butter beans, black beans, green beans, kidney beans and of course my favorite, chickpeas). You’ll also find vegan based protein sources such as tofu. And of course, on a vegan table you will aslo find a lot of pasta and rice dishes, as well as fresh fruit and vegetables.
Easy flavorful vegan meals
Eating vegan doesn’t have to mean boring, bland or complicated. On the contrary! For me, vegan cooking means creating vibrant meals flavoured with spices and fresh herbs, using high-quality ingredients that feature whole, plant-based foods and fresh seasonal produce.
On Elle Republic you will discover delicious plant-based recipes including breakfast ideas, lunch and dinner recipes to vegan baked goods and desserts. Oh, and of course you will also find easy vegan snack and appetizer ideas!
Vegan cooking and baking made easy
In addition to excluding meat and fish, a vegan diet excludes all other animal products. This means all recipes are made without dairy products, eggs or honey. Honey is replaced with maple, date or agave syrup. For vegan baking recipes eggs are replaced with either chia seeds, linseeds, psyllium husk, apple sauce, mashed banana or even mashed winter squash. Dairy is easily replaced with plant-based products, such as unsweetened soy milk, almond milk, and coconut or tofu products.
